Our Roasting Process


The "norm" for roasting says coffee beans should roast between 370 and 540 degrees Fahrenheit.  In order to achieve the low acid, lighter tasting flavor you'll find in our coffee, we roast at temps far below the norm.  


Our team has spent the last 2 years perfecting this specific kind of roast, which our founder originally discovered in high end coffee shops around Seattle .

But how does it taste?


Gold coffee roasts at lower temps and never reaches the first crack, so the beans don't reach the level of caramelization that makes coffee taste like, well, coffee.


However, It still maintains its origin characteristics and allows the terroir of the bean to shine through, but with unique flavor notes unlike those found in black coffee.
