We're proud to present this modern twist on a traditional Spanish Latte recipe. (The modern twist makes it easier on your stomach and your teeth.)
To feel like a real Spaniard, add milk to your normal latte. The prep time isn't long, and you can make it dairy-free if that's important to you.
People in Spain and Latin America have been known to a delicious Spanish Latte, also known as a café con leche. You can find this simple recipe at coffee shops like Starbucks (if your barista isn't brand new to the game), or DIY with a coffee machine.
Ultimately, we like to make our Spanish Latte with steeped coffee pouches and frothed milk, sans coffee machine.

What You Need To Know
Many people make their Spanish Latte into an espresso drink. Some even pump two espresso shots! I prefer my Spanish Latte sans espresso, but you do you.
You may need an espresso machine to make espresso. The Moka pot is one stove-top espresso-maker you could try. Obviously, the greatest Spanish Lattes are brewed with genuine Spanish espresso.
Not a lot of information exists about how this Spanish latte first came about, but this espresso-based beverage was definitely made with both regular milk and sweetened condensed milk. For our recipe, the condensed milk combined with the sweetener syrup make it too sweet.
We recommend preparing this recipe with hot milk. Afterward, you can enjoy it as a hot coffee or an iced coffee using ice cubes or even vanilla ice cream. An iced Spanish Latte doesn't really change the coffee recipe. However, you should totally add whipped cream for extra fun.
Because there's so much evidence that regular strong coffee causes gastrointestinal distress and teeth staining, we strongly suggest switching out regular ground coffee beans for Golden Ratio low-acid coffee pouches.
